May Day Holiday Boosts Inbound Travel in the Chinese Mainland

During the five-day May Day holiday, the Chinese mainland experienced an exciting surge in inbound travel! Favorable visa policies and increased flight capacity helped spark this travel boom. Between May 1 and 3, Beijing logged 162,000 passenger trips—a 21.5% rise from last year—while Guangzhou saw 32,000 inbound trips, marking an impressive 43% jump.

Shanghai joined the trend too, with its ports projected to handle 594,000 trips from May 1 to 5, a 30.7% year-on-year increase. This trend is a clear invitation for young adventurers and early professionals across South and Southeast Asia to get inspired and plan their next exciting journey! ✈️🌏
