In a thrilling display of speed and strategy, Shanghai’s Qin Haiyang made waves at China's National Swimming Championships in Shenzhen on Sunday. Clocking a season-best 58.61 seconds in the men's 100-meter breaststroke, Qin surged ahead of his rivals, including Jiangsu's Dong Zhihao, to bring home the gold 🏅.

The excitement continued in the women's events when Zhejiang’s Yu Yiting took flight in the 100-meter butterfly. She stormed past the 50-meter mark, finishing in 57.30 seconds, while Jiangsu’s Zhang Yufei, an Olympic silver medalist from Tokyo 2021 and bronze medalist at Paris 2024, was edged out by just 0.09 seconds.

Not one to slow down, the 19-year-old Yu returned just over an hour later to clinch another title in the women's 200-meter individual medley with an impressive time of 2:08.67. Meanwhile, Guangdong's Chen Juner powered to gold in the men's 50-meter butterfly, finishing in 23.41 seconds.
