Kunming Expo Sparks Trade & Innovation

The ninth China-South Asia Expo has kicked off in Kunming, the capital of southwest China's Yunnan Province, bringing together a vibrant mix of culture, art, and modern trade innovation! With the theme "Solidarity and Coordination for Common Development," this five-day event is all about building bridges and boosting cooperation among over 70 countries and international organizations.

This year, the expo features full representation from every South and Southeast Asian nation, with Sri Lanka celebrated as the guest of honor. Local startups and traditional artisans are seizing this golden opportunity to shine on the global stage. As Sri Lanka’s deputy minister of foreign affairs and foreign employment, Arun Hemachandra, shared, "China is a great market for us. We've brought products ranging from wood carvings and tea to various ornaments." 👍

He added, "There's a new government in Sri Lanka now, and we are supporting small startups to enter the international arena. Many of the exhibitors here are attending for the first time. It's a great opportunity for us." This sentiment perfectly captures the dynamic spirit of innovation and cultural exchange resonating at the expo.

For young entrepreneurs and tech enthusiasts, the expo is not just a trade event — it’s a launchpad for big ideas, a melting pot of creativity, and a testament to global collaboration. Stay tuned for more updates from this inspiring event! 🌏🚀
