Hey music fans! Get ready for an inspiring celebration as the 2025 China–US Youth Choir Week kicks off in Fuzhou and Beijing. Running from July 9 to 18 under the theme "Singing for Peace," this cultural exchange event is all about uniting voices and hearts across borders 🎶.
The Fuzhou segment, from July 9 to 13, is packed with dynamic activities including school visits, interactive cultural sessions, and spontaneous flash mob performances in public spaces. Imagine music filling Fuzhou's iconic heritage sites and transforming everyday moments into memorable experiences!
A total of 22 youth choirs from both countries will take the stage, joined by members of the American "Friends of Kuliang," representatives from the Sino-American Aviation Heritage Foundation, and delegates from sister-state and sister-city programs. Nearly 1,000 participants will set the tone at the grand opening ceremony on July 9, celebrating friendship, cultural heritage, and the universal language of music.
A major highlight of the week is the special joint concert at the Fujian Grand Theatre on the evening of July 11. Chinese and American choirs will perform side by side, showcasing the power of youth-led dialogue and artistic collaboration that transcends borders.
Co-hosted by the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and the Fujian Provincial Government, this event is part of a wider initiative to invite 50,000 young Americans to China over the next five years, enhancing people-to-people ties and fostering global understanding.
Whether you're into live music, cultural adventures, or believe in the power of unity through art, this event is a must-see. Let the melodies and rhythms remind us that music truly has the power to unite us all!
