At the 15th Meeting of the Conference of the Contracting Parties to the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands (COP15) in Zimbabwe’s resort city of Victoria Falls, nine Chinese cities were newly accredited as international wetland cities. These cities include Chongming (Shanghai), Dali (Yunnan Province), Fuzhou (Fujian Province), Hangzhou (Zhejiang Province), Jiujiang (Jiangxi Province), Lhasa (Xizang Autonomous Region), Suzhou (Jiangsu Province), Wenzhou (Zhejiang Province), and Yueyang (Hunan Province).
