Swift Restoration of Flood-Damaged Roads & Bridges in Hebei

Hey everyone! Amid continuous heavy rainfall and flash floods in north China's Hebei Province, emergency teams are hustling to repair critical roads and bridges. 🚧💪

In Xinglong County, a key section of National Highway 234 was disrupted, forcing drivers and pedestrians to detour. Nearly 100 dedicated personnel and over 20 rescue machines worked round the clock to clear the blockage by Saturday morning, ensuring that essential supplies and rescue equipment keep moving.

Over in Chicheng County, heavy rains severely damaged 15 rural bridges. One vital bridge in the remote Lujiaogou Village – home to about 50 to 60 residents, many of whom are elderly – was fixed in just eight hours using two excavators simultaneously. A local shared, "It was really fast! They rebuilt it in just one day," celebrating the speedy turnaround.

By Saturday morning, traffic had resumed on 961 road sections across the province, restoring smooth connectivity in the wake of the floods. This rapid response shows how community resilience and quick action can turn challenging times around. Stay safe and keep moving! 😊
