CMG president Shen Haixiong dialled in via video to remind everyone that "history is the best textbook." He argued that recalling past struggles fuels our drive to protect peace, fairness and justice in today's fast-paced world.

On the ground, Chinese Ambassador to the UAE Zhang Yiming spoke about the importance of upholding the United Nations and international law. He pointed out that it's the "Year of China" in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, and pledged to team up with SCO members like the UAE to boost fair global governance 🌐.
Experts from Middle East media, think tanks and universities joined the conversation. Mohamed Firas Alnaeb of Dubai's Strategia Center praised China and the UAE as long-time advocates of peace and shared growth since WWII.
