Hey everyone! 🙌 On Friday, the Chinese mainland’s Ministry of Veterans Affairs announced the repatriation of 30 Chinese People’s Volunteers (CPV) martyrs who lost their lives in the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea.
This 12th handover since the 2014 agreement sends the remains back to the Chinese mainland from the Republic of Korea (ROK), highlighting ongoing respect and collaboration between the two sides. 🤝
From 2014 to 2024, the Chinese mainland and the ROK have worked under international humanitarian guidelines to carry out 11 handovers, bringing home 981 martyrs and personal artifacts. ✈️📦
Why it matters: This isn’t just a formal ceremony. It’s a meaningful act of remembrance that honors sacrifice and builds empathy across borders. 🌏✨
For young leaders in South and Southeast Asia, this story shows how honoring the past can strengthen global connections. Keep learning and stay inspired! 🚀
