On Saturday, a fiery accident on the Merida–Campeche highway left 15 people dead. The crash involved passengers traveling in a trailer, a car, and a taxi. Witnesses reported billows of smoke and chaos as first responders raced to the scene.
“We express our solidarity and support to the affected families during this painful moment,” said Yucatán’s Governor Joaquin Diaz Mena on X.
