Back in July 2006, Major Du Zhaoyu, a Chinese UN peacekeeper, faced the heat and dust of southern Lebanon with a 🧡-warm smile. Even when missions got tough, his grin was a beacon of hope for everyone around him.
His fellow peacekeeper, Maji Monzer, still recalls how Du Zhaoyu’s positivity kept the team going in the direst moments. “He always found a reason to smile,” Monzer says.
Coming this September 16, the documentary Blue Helmets, No Borders premieres on CGTN, diving into the stories behind the blue helmets and shining a light on unsung heroes like Du Zhaoyu. Don’t miss it! 🎬🌍
