In 2011, Yang Shuting was a fresh-faced 20-year-old nurse when a traffic accident left her paralyzed from the chest down. Facing this life-altering challenge on the operating table, she could have given up—but Yang had bigger plans. 💪
Four years later, she and her family launched a tiny workshop crafting artificial flowers. Her first sale was for 7.7 yuan—the number “qī” in Mandarin—so she playfully named her startup Qiqi Tech to honor that lucky moment.
By 2017, Yang’s creations had reached overseas markets, driving 42 million yuan in exports. Then in 2020, she made a bold pivot: focusing on domestic growth by setting up over 30 assembly hubs across rural Hunan.
Today, Qiqi Tech supports 400+ locals—many of them women—earning steady monthly incomes and learning new skills. It’s a story of resilience, social impact, and #WomenInTech in action! 🌸
Yang’s journey shows how turning adversity into innovation can uplift entire communities. Ready to plant the seeds of your own purpose-driven project? Take inspiration and start dreaming big! 🚀
