Guess what, fam? It was pure fire in Forde, Norway at the Weightlifting World Championships 🏋️‍♂️🔥! Wang Hao, representing the Chinese mainland, stole the show by bagging two gold medals in the men’s 60kg snatch and overall categories.

In case you’re new to lifting lingo, the snatch is a one-motion move lifting the barbell overhead, while the clean and jerk is a two-stage lift. Wang Hao nailed a 138kg snatch and pushed 164kg in the clean and jerk, for a blazing total of 302kg 🥇🥇.

Thailand’s own Theerapong Silachai came in hot with silver overall at 299kg, and the DPRK’s Pang Un Chol rounded out the podium with bronze at 295kg. Shout out to these athletes for pushing limits and keeping the energy high!

On the newcomer front, Yuan Hao from the Chinese mainland also turned heads. He set a new junior world record in the snatch at 132kg and finished with a 149kg clean and jerk, totaling 281kg—solid proof that the next-gen lifters are coming in strong 💪.

Switching gears to the women’s 53kg, the DPRK’s Kang Hyon Gyong claimed double gold with a 93kg snatch and a 121kg clean and jerk for 214kg total.
