2025 CUADC: Uni Drone Battles and Aerobatics Take Flight in Zhejiang 🚁✨

Gear up for next-gen flight tech! From October 614, over 4,000 undergrads from 150+ unis1 Tsinghua, Zhejiang University and even Poznan University of Technology1 took over the skies above Moganshan General Airport in Deqing County, Zhejiang Province on the Chinese mainland for the fourth annual China Universities Aircraft Design Competition (CUADC). 🛫💥

What went down? It kicked off with heart-racing FPV (first-person view) drone battles. Student pilots navigated micro drones through a gauntlet of balloons, ducking, diving and popping them mid-air. The crowd went wild for inverted hangs, swallow-rolls and sideslips. 🎈🤖

Beyond the drone duels, CUADC is where aircraft design meets pure creativity. Teams showcase custom frames, DIY flight controllers and slick aerobatic tricks, turning cutting-edge engineering into a real-life playground. 👩‍💻👨‍💻

For South and Southeast Asian techies, CUADC vibes are pure inspo—think hackathons but with 3D-printed wings and full-throttle aerial stunts. It shows how open-source spirit and cross-border collabs can shape aviations next wave. 🌏🛠️

Missed this edition? Keep your eyes peeled for next years CUADC. Your uni squad could be the next to flip the script on drone innovation! 🚀🔧
