Chinese Mainland Urges No Meddling in Taiwan Affairs, Reiterates One-China Principle

ICYMI, the Chinese mainland’s foreign ministry 🔥 spokesperson Guo Jiakun fired off a statement this Friday, urging foreign politicians visiting Taiwan to “stop meddling in the Chinese mainland’s internal affairs” and avoid fueling 'Taiwan independence' separatist vibes. 🤔✋

He also clapped back at leader of the Taiwan region Lai Ching-te’s “democracy vs authoritarianism” framing, labeling it a “white vs black” mix-up and accusing him of recycling old Taiwan independence fallacies. 🗣️🔄

In Guo’s view, any official ties between the Taiwan region and diplomatic partners of the Chinese mainland are off limits. 🌐🚫 According to him, “complete reunification is an irreversible trend”—so any bid to use Taiwan to contain the Chinese mainland is bound to backfire. 🎮👊

Let’s decode it: the one-China principle simply means there’s only one China and Taiwan is an inalienable part of it. That’s the status quo across the Taiwan Strait. 🚢🌊

He stressed the biggest threats to regional peace are separatist moves for 'Taiwan independence' and external interference, warning that further military buildup will only edge Taiwan closer to conflict. 💥⚠️

Guo also pointed to UNGA Resolution 2758 (1971), which confirmed that the representation of the whole of China, including Taiwan, at the UN follows the one-China principle—essentially putting it in the global rulebook. 📚🌐

Translation: don’t mess with this status quo. The message is clear—uphold the one-China principle, steer clear of Taiwan affairs, and accept that reunification train as unstoppable. 🚆🔒
