Guangxi’s Tang Xiao Snags Gold in Women’s 10m Air Pistol at National Games

📰 Guangzhou was buzzing at the 15th National Games of China as Guangxi’s own sharpshooter Tang Xiao claimed the women’s 10m air pistol gold in style! 🔫🏅

After two qualification rounds (10 shots total), the competition turned into a nail-biter: every two shots, the lowest score got the boot. Hubei’s Ruan Mengying leapt into an early lead ahead of Guizhou’s Qian Wei and Shanghai’s Tokyo Olympics mixed-team champ Jiang Ranxin.

The elimination stage saw Qian, Jiang and Ruan each slip up with off-target shots—and Tang Xiao pounced. With calm mind (and a few deep breaths! 💨), she sank her final shot for a 9.6, sealing gold with 240.3 points—her best ever at a major meet. Ruan took silver; Jiang claimed bronze. PSA to all PUBG Mobile sharpshooters: Tang’s calm under pressure is next-level IRL inspiration. 🎮🔫

“Honestly, nobody shot their A-game today,” Tang laughed after her win. “I got lucky and zoned in—shot after shot, I just stayed decisive. This was the best final of my career!”

Other standouts in Guangzhou:

• Wang Zifei rallied from 7th to 1st in the women’s 50m rifle three positions, scoring 462.9 for her second title here. Han Jiayu (462.6) picked up silver; Beijing’s Li Ya’nan snagged bronze—the first shooting medal for her province. 📣

• In the men’s 10m air pistol team final, six-time World Cup winner Hu Kai led Anhui to a 16-6 victory over Hebei. Jilin edged Guizhou 16-10 for bronze in a tight match. 👊

From clutch last-minute shots to epic comebacks, this year’s National Games are serving up all the sporting drama we love. Stay tuned for more highlights! ✨
