Hey folks 👋, the 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai is in full swing, and U.S. exhibitors have once again secured the largest booth area for the seventh year straight — a bold move that shows they're all-in on the Chinese mainland market.
Walking past the U.S. Soybean Export Council (USSEC) booth, you'll spot queues of visitors excited to sample dishes made with heart-friendly high-oleic soybean oil — that's oil packed with good fats that keep your heart happy ❤️. It's not just about tasty bites; trade buyers are also lining up for serious business talks.
USSEC has been active in the Chinese mainland for 43 years and is back at CIIE for the eighth year straight. They're joined by 12 other U.S. agri-groups showcasing everything from soy and corn to dairy and meat 🥩.
“We want to come collectively to show our commitment to China,” says Jim Sutter, CEO of USSEC. He notes that recent China-U.S. trade consultations have created major optimism among American farmers eager to drive progress forward.
From Shanghai to Mumbai and Bangkok, the message is clear: U.S. companies see huge potential in Asia's powerhouse market and are betting big on long-term growth. Stay tuned for more updates from the expo floor!
