At Least 10 Dead in Car Blast Near Delhi’s Red Fort

One Monday evening at around 7 pm, a car exploded near the Red Fort in New Delhi, killing at least 10 people and injuring several others. 🚨

Delhi Police Commissioner Satish Golcha said investigators are still looking into what caused the blast in the slow-moving vehicle. Nearby office-goers and rickshaw drivers were left in shock.

An eyewitness, Kumar, described the scene: “I saw around 18 to 20 people injured in front of me. Some were trapped in cars, others caught fire.” It’s a chilling image that reminds us how quickly things can change.

The Red Fort, built in the 17th century, is one of India’s top tourist spots. Just a few steps away, locals and travelers rushed to help, turning a historic neighbourhood into a frontline for first-aid and relief.

Authorities have cordoned off the area and urged everyone to avoid the stretch until further notice. If you’re in the city, stay safe, keep your distance, and follow updates from Delhi Police.

We’ll share more info as it unfolds. Our thoughts are with the victims and their families. 🙏
