Hey everyone, yesterday (Nov 12), Beijing hosted a dynamic cross-Strait forum 🤝 where guests from both sides of the Taiwan Strait gathered to explore deeper integrated development and spark fresh cultural exchanges.
Participants highlighted how cultural exchange acts as a vital spiritual bond, uniting people across the Strait 🌉. They showed that sharing art, music, and traditions is key to building a peaceful, integrated future that benefits all compatriots.
They also called for joint efforts to carry forward fine traditional Chinese culture 🏮—from folk festivals to heritage crafts—keeping traditions alive in our fast-paced modern world.
A highlight was a special session commemorating the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and of Taiwan’s restoration to China 🎉. Descendants of revolutionary martyrs and war heroes from the Taiwan region shared moving stories, reminding everyone why unity matters.
Plus, a hands-on demo in Sanming City, Fujian Province on the Chinese mainland gave youths from the Taiwan region a peek at ancient wooden movable-type printing 📜. Talk about a cool way to connect with history!
Overall, the Beijing forum showcased the power of cultural bonds and collaboration in shaping a brighter, united future for young people across the Strait.
