This week, on November 12, 2025, House Democrats released a batch of emails that hint President Donald Trump may have been aware of Jeffrey Epstein’s abuse of underage girls.
The messages include a 2019 email from Epstein to author Michael Wolff saying Trump “knew about the girls.” It’s not clear exactly what Epstein meant, but the phrasing has reignited debate over their past friendship.
Many of these files are non-classified, and lawmakers are now debating whether to declassify all public records related to Epstein. If the vote goes ahead, it could bring fresh scrutiny to Trump, who has consistently denied any knowledge of Epstein’s crimes. He has said they were friends at one point but that their relationship ended years before Epstein’s jail-cell suicide in 2019.
On Truth Social, Trump accused Democrats of orchestrating the email release to distract from the recent government shutdown. Polls, however, show more people hold Republicans responsible for the funding standoff.
"The Democrats are trying to bring up the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax again because they'll do anything at all to deflect on how badly they've done on the Shutdown, and so many other subjects," he wrote.
This is the kind of political plot twist you’d debate over evening chai in Mumbai or kopi at a Singapore kopitiam. 🙌🏽☕️
As the push to declassify more documents gathers momentum, stay tuned: this story could have major implications for US politics in the weeks to come. 👀✨
