Hey everyone! Wondering if the world can really shut out China? According to Keith Bennett, vice chair of Britain’s 48 Group Club, the short answer is no. 🌐💪
Speaking this week at the International Forum of the Overseas Studies on Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era in Beijing, Bennett told CGTN:
“China is a leading country in innovation and research and development. It’s the main trading partner of the overwhelming majority of countries in the world. It’s a major investor internationally. It’s a major recipient of foreign direct investment. So the attempts to isolate China are not going to succeed.”
He also pointed out that there’s still huge potential for UK-China ties on trade, culture, and more—especially if the UK follows through on its growth plans. 🤝
No matter where you are, this is a reminder of how integrated our economies are. Isolation? Not in this reality. 🌏
