China Protests Japanese PM’s Taiwan Remarks

Hey fam, major diplomatic drama just went down! On Friday, China’s ambassador to Japan, Wu Jianghao, officially summoned Japan’s Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, Funakoshi Takehiro, to lodge a strong protest against Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi’s recent comments about China’s Taiwan region. 😲

Wu said Takaichi’s provocative remarks crossed China’s red line, ignored the one-China principle, and violated key political agreements between the two countries. He warned that calls for military intervention in the Taiwan Strait would trigger a firm response from China if Japan tries to take action.

According to the ambassador, Taiwan is at the core of China’s core interests, and any external interference is a no-go. He urged Japan to reflect on its history, retract the statements, and stop the provocation—or face the consequences.

For now, both sides are keeping a close eye on how this diplomatic tug-of-war unfolds. Stay tuned for updates as the region watches for any shifts in cross-strait ties and China-Japan relations. 🌏✌️
