CMG’s ‘China Red’ 4K/8K Fleet Heads to Milan for 2026 Winter Olympics

Earlier this week (Monday, November 17, 2025), CMG's 'China Red' 4K/8K ultra-high-definition broadcast fleet rolled out from the Chinese mainland city of Beijing, setting its sights on Milan. 🚀📺

These 17-meter rigs (expanding to 5.8 meters wide when fully deployed) pack a punch: 34 workstations, five functional zones, and switching consoles that juggle up to 80 channels of 4K sources. It’s like a mobile tech festival on wheels. 😎

As the official rights-holding broadcaster for the 2026 Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics—and the only media org producing the 8K international public broadcast signal—CMG is bringing next-gen coverage to fan-favorite events like short track speed skating and figure skating. Think slo-mo replays so crisp you can count every spin! 🔄❄️

At the Milan International Broadcasting Center, CMG has reserved a massive 1,700 m² working area plus a 223 m² Central Technical Area equipment room. With three studio systems up and running, they’ve got all bases covered for smooth live streams and global signal production. 🎥🏟️

For tech enthusiasts and sports buffs alike, this is your behind-the-scenes pass to how cutting-edge gear and big ambitions team up to light up our screens. Stay tuned as the countdown to #Milan2026 continues! 🌟
