B-Girl 671 Strikes Gold Again: Liu Qingyi Wins Breaking Title at 15th National Games

On Tuesday 18 November, Henan’s Liu Qingyi (aka B-Girl 671) clinched gold in women’s breaking at the 15th National Games in Guangzhou, south China’s Guangdong Province. Fresh off her 2024 Olympic bronze and Asian Games gold, she defended her crown with style.

Against Shandong’s Guo Pu (B-Girl Royal), a champ at the Asian Champs and World Games, Liu brought a killer combo of power moves and Wushu-inspired flair. The battle went 2-1 in Liu’s favor after she won the first two rounds and Guo took the last.

“I added some Wushu elements and signature tricks to level up my routine and pump up the crowd’s energy,” Liu said. “After the Paris Olympics, I hit a slump—juggling injuries and nerves was tough, but I stayed focused to bring my A-game.” 💪🔥

With this win, B-Girl 671 proves breaking is more than flips—it’s a blend of athletic power, dance, and personal style. For many young creators across South and Southeast Asia, Liu’s journey shows how passion and perseverance can break barriers.

Stay tuned for more updates from the National Games, where every move counts! 🎶
