China Vows Full Implementation of COP30’s Belem Political Package

Hey everyone! COP30 just concluded with the Belem Political Package, a positive and balanced roadmap for climate action over the next decade. 🌱

On Monday, November 24, 2025, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning announced that China will work with all parties to fully implement these outcomes under the UNFCCC framework and the Paris Agreement.

What's in the Belem Package?

  • Solidarity boost: commits to stronger cooperation on cutting emissions 🤝
  • New climate dialogue: for the first time, talks on trade-restrictive unilateral measures to ensure fair rules for all
  • Just transition mechanism: milestone plan to support workers and communities shifting away from fossil fuels

Mao Ning highlighted that the Chinese delegation played an active role in negotiations and that 'Striving to do better,' a slogan proposed in the COP30 outcome document and echoed by President Xi Jinping, will guide global climate governance for the next ten years.

By teaming up with other nations, China aims to boost global cooperation, advance joint solutions, and help build a clean, beautiful world. 🌏✨

For young professionals in South and Southeast Asia, these moves could mean more opportunities in green tech, sustainable startups, and policy innovation—driving both environmental impact and economic growth.
