Good News: 24 Nigerian Schoolgirls Rescued Safely

Hey there! Here's some positive news from Nigeria 🇳🇬. Yesterday (Tuesday, Nov 25), President Bola Tinubu confirmed that all 24 schoolgirls abducted over a week ago have been rescued safe and sound. 🙌

The students were kidnapped from their dorm at Government Girls' Comprehensive Secondary School in Maga, Kebbi State, on Nov 17 – about nine days ago. Kebbi State governor Nasir Idris says they're all in good health, and families are ready for emotional reunions. ❤️

This case sparked similar attacks last week in central Nigeria: 38 worshippers taken during a church service in Kwara and over 300 students seized in Niger State. Good news – all worshippers and 51 of those students got home safely this past Sunday. 🙏

“Now, we must put as a matter of urgency more boots on the ground in the vulnerable areas to avert further incidents of kidnapping.” President Tinubu emphasized the need for stronger security. 🔐

For us in South and Southeast Asia, these events highlight the global challenge of protecting students and communities. Stay informed, stay vigilant, and let’s support efforts to keep education spaces safe everywhere. 🌏✨
