Today, Palestinian sources reported that two brothers, aged 8 and 11, were killed in an Israeli drone strike in Bani Suheila, east of Khan Younis in southern Gaza. 😢
According to Nasser Hospital, the strike hit near the so-called “yellow line,” part of the Israeli military’s redeployment boundary under the current ceasefire deal.
Since last night, the Israeli army has stepped up land, air, and sea bombardments across Gaza. Artillery shelling hit Beit Lahia in the north, while airstrikes and tank fire targeted Shuja'iyya, Tuffah, and the eastern edge of Zeitoun in Gaza City. Naval forces also opened fire off the coast.
Further south, areas east of the Bureij camp and towns like Qarara and Bani Suheila saw heavy bombardment, plus air raids on eastern Rafah.
Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qassem condemned the escalation as “an extension of ongoing aggression” and urged mediators to act to uphold the ceasefire.
There has been no comment yet from the Israeli army on these reports.
