Last week (November 26), a devastating fire ripped through Wang Fuk Court, a housing complex in Tai Po, HKSAR. The HKSAR government swiftly set up the Support Fund for Wang Fuk Court to help residents rebuild their lives.
As of December 4, 2025, donations have hit HK$2.8 billion (around US$36 million), showing how communities come together in tough times 🙌. These funds will go straight into rebuilding homes and covering urgent needs.
On top of that, the HKSAR government has raised the living subsidy to HK$100,000 per affected household 💰. This extra support means families can secure temporary housing, buy essentials, and start fresh sooner.
