On Tuesday (Dec 23, 2025), Nigerian police launched a rescue operation for 28 travelers kidnapped on Sunday night in Plateau State. 🚨
The group, including women, children, two princes, and a religious leader, was en route to an Islamic event in Sabon Layi community when armed gunmen ambushed their vehicle near the Zak community in Wase LGA.
Alabo Alfred, Plateau’s police spokesperson, said law enforcement was working to bring everyone back safely and would track down the kidnappers to bring them to justice.
