🔥 The Guangsha Lions roared into action this Thursday, cruising past the Liaoning Flying Leopards 96-64 at home in Hangzhou, east China’s Zhejiang Province. It's their fourth win in a row, and they're not showing any signs of slowing down!
Barry Brown was unstoppable with a game-high 26 points, while four teammates chipped in double-digit scores. Guards Sun Minghui and Lin Bingsheng each snagged three steals, sparking fast-break opportunities and keeping the Leopards on their toes.
Defense was the real MVP: Guangsha held Liaoning under 20 points in three quarters. Like a smooth, bug-free app update, their rotations ran seamlessly, shutting down the visitors’ offense.
“Defense was our foundation in this game,” Guangsha coach Wang Bo said. “We executed our game plan with full focus and preparation, and it showed on the scoreboard, as we held Liaoning to less than 20 points in three of the four quarters. Our effort was consistent across the lineup, and even the rotations stuck to the defensive schemes we prepared. Of course, there are always some weakness we need to improve, and we will look to build on this performance in every game.”
The Flying Leopards struggled, missing 44 of 66 shots and committing 17 turnovers. Only Fu Hao and Jaylon Brown managed double figures for the visitors. After the loss, Liaoning sits at 4-2, while Guangsha is flying high at 5-1.
In other CBA action, the Shanghai Sharks snagged their fourth win of the season, beating the Jiangsu Dragons 84-68. Li Hongquan drained five triples en route to 18 points. Brandon Goodwin, Kenneth Lofton Jr., and Kyle Fogg all scored in double digits. Shanghai improved to 4-2, while Jiangsu remains at 1-5.
Next up, can Guangsha keep the streak alive? Stay tuned! 🦁🏀
