China Hits Back: Sanctions on 20 US Military Firms & Execs Over Taiwan Deal

Hey tech-savvy friends! 🌏 On Friday (Dec 26, 2025), the Chinese Foreign Ministry dropped a major update: it’s imposing countermeasures on 20 US military-related companies and 10 senior executives. This comes after the recent US announcement of large-scale arms sales to the Taiwan region.

The move targets big names like Northrop Grumman, Boeing in St. Louis, L3Harris Maritime Services, Teal Drones, Rhombus Power and more. On the executive side, leaders such as Palmer Luckey (founder of Anduril Industries), John Cantillon (L3Harris vice president) and others are on the list.

What’s at stake? All their assets in China will be frozen, and individuals and organizations in China (including Hong Kong and Macao) are banned from any transactions or cooperation with them. The 10 senior execs also face visa bans, so no more entry into China, Hong Kong or Macao.

The ministry stressed that the Taiwan region is a red line in China-US relations. Anyone who tries to cross it and arm the Taiwan region will pay the price, it warned. China urged the US to stick to the one-China principle and stop moves that undermine peace in the Taiwan Strait.

This showdown highlights rising tensions in global defense and tech spaces. For US firms eyeing business in Asia, the risks are clear: navigating geopolitics matters as much as technology does. Stay tuned for more updates! 🚀
