China’s Manufacturing Power Rises to Germany & Japan Level

Big news from Beijing! According to the 2025 China Manufacturing Power Development Index Report released earlier this week, China's manufacturing power index now matches Germany and Japan, putting it in the second tier of global manufacturing giants. 🎉

The report, compiled annually by the Strategic Consulting Center of the Chinese Academy of Engineering since 2015, shows that in 2024 Chinese manufacturing accounted for 27.71% of the world's added value—solidifying its lead since it became the world's largest manufacturing economy back in 2010.

China isn't just about scale. Its manufacturing sector has been leveling up across quality, innovation, and green development. The industrial structure is shifting towards high-end, intelligent, and eco-friendly production—exactly what today's tech-driven world demands.

Infrastructure highlights include the world's largest clean-coal power system and the most advanced ultra-high-voltage AC and DC power grids. Plus, new energy equipment and energy-saving & storage tech are on a rocket-like growth path, says CAE academician Lyu Junfu.

Looking ahead, China aims to boost quality and efficiency, optimize industry structure, and supercharge innovation and sustainable development. 🌱

Stay tuned to see how these moves shape the future of global tech and green industries! 👀
