Get ready for your weekend plans at Zoo Negara! On Saturday, January 10, Malaysia's national zoo in Selangor officially welcomed its newest stars: giant pandas Chen Xing and Xiao Yue 🐼🌿
After flying in from China last November, these fluffy celebs spent time in quarantine and acclimatization (aka getting used to their new digs). Their public debut drew excited crowds lined up for a dose of pure panda cuteness.
Chen Xing and Xiao Yue will stay in Malaysia for 10 years as part of the China–Malaysia panda conservation program, which kicked off back in 2014. They're the next act following Xing Xing and Liang Liang, who wowed visitors for 11 years before heading home in May 2025.
At the conservation center, fans are snapping photos, sharing panda stories online, and exploring interactive displays that break down wildlife conservation in simple terms. If you're in Kuala Lumpur, grab your tickets early and catch these bamboo-munching cuties IRL 🥳📸
More than just adorable ambassadors, Chen Xing and Xiao Yue highlight the importance of protecting endangered species. So bring your eco-conscious spirit, support conservation efforts, and let these pandas inspire you to make a difference! 🌏💚
