CSSC Delivers Ultra-Large LNG Dual-Fuel Container Ship

A tech breakthrough in global shipping is here! CSSC subsidiary Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding has successfully delivered the pioneering ultra-large LNG dual-fuel container ship CMA CGM SEINE in Shanghai! 🚢

This massive vessel stretches 399 meters in length and 61.3 meters in width, accommodating nearly 24,000 TEU containers—including up to 2,200 refrigerated units. Its state-of-the-art dual-fuel system lets the ship run on LNG or oil, cutting carbon dioxide emissions by about 20% and nitrogen oxides by up to 85%—a huge win for the environment! 🌿

Equipped with an 18,600-cubic-meter LNG bunker, the ship can journey almost 20,000 nautical miles. Scheduled to launch on a Far East-Europe route on April 18, it is the first of four vessels ordered by France's CMA CGM Group, marking a new era in sustainable maritime trade. ⚓️

With 17 container ships already delivered to CMA CGM—including 12 dual-fuel vessels—CSSC is leading the way in combining cutting-edge technology with green practices. This breakthrough isn’t just about cargo; it’s a clear signal towards a smarter, cleaner future for global trade that resonates with our fast-paced, eco-conscious generation! 🔥
