Hey travel enthusiasts! China is stepping up its game as part of its 14th Five-Year Plan (2021–2025), unleashing a new wave of global travel access that’s perfect for digital nomads and globetrotters alike. 🚀
Chart of the Day: China has rolled out expansive visa perks. Unilateral visa-free entry and mutual visa exemption agreements with 75 countries are now in play. This means easier entry into the Chinese mainland for international visitors. Plus, 55 countries now enjoy visa-free transit, with 60 designated entry ports across 24 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities. And the transit stay has been extended to an impressive 240 hours, giving travelers more freedom to explore!
Outbound travel is booming too! Since 2021, over 300 million entry and exit documents have been issued, and more than 160 million ordinary passports are now in circulation. Chinese passport holders can visit more than 90 countries and regions visa-free or with visa on arrival, with their passport mobility score rising from 72nd to 60th place.
These bold changes boost global connectivity and offer exciting prospects for anyone with a wanderlust spirit. Whether you're planning a quick transit or gearing up for a memorable getaway, these new policies are set to transform travel experiences. Bon voyage and safe travels! ✈️
