China Warns: Philippines’ Military Moves Stir Regional Tensions

Amid rising concerns in the region, China's Ministry of National Defense has spoken out over joint military exercises conducted by the Philippines with the U.S. According to spokesperson Zhang Xiaogang, these actions are seen as provocations that undermine the common interests of regional countries.

Zhang emphasized that military cooperation should never be used to target or harm third parties, as such moves endanger peace and stability. He reiterated that the South China Sea should remain a sea of peace, cooperation, and friendship—a vital space for growth and mutual benefit.

The spokesperson also warned that using the Taiwan question as an excuse to strengthen regional military deployments only escalates tensions. In today’s fast-paced, tech-driven world, maintaining a stable and harmonious environment is not only crucial for policy but also for the everyday lives of young people across South and Southeast Asia.

Let’s stay informed and work together for a peaceful future! 😊
