China Unveils Origin Tianji 4.0 for Next-Gen Quantum Leap

Hey tech enthusiasts, exciting news coming your way! A cutting-edge system named Origin Tianji 4.0 has just been launched by a Chinese firm in Hefei. This new superconducting quantum measurement and control system is designed to power quantum computers with over 500 qubits—pushing the limits of what quantum tech can do 🚀!

Building on the previous 3.0 iteration, Origin Tianji 4.0 brings major upgrades in scalability, integration, stability, and automation. Think of it as the 'nerve center' for quantum computers, managing the precise generation, acquisition, and control of signals for quantum chips in a way that’s both efficient and accurate.

Kong Weicheng, deputy director of the Anhui Quantum Computing Engineering Research Center and head of the development team, mentioned that this breakthrough will speed up research and delivery timelines by enhancing the chip readout process. Notably, its predecessor, Origin Wukong, has already been put to work over 26 million times since January 6, 2024, across 139 countries and regions, handling tasks in areas from finance to biomedicine.

This advancement signals a promising leap forward in quantum computing technology and could have a big impact on various high-tech industries. Stay tuned as these innovations continue to shape our digital future!
