Typhoon Danas Intensifies: Yellow Alert, Heavy Rain & Wind Ahead

Hey everyone, big weather update! Typhoon Danas is ramping up its strength, and China's national observatory just renewed a yellow alert. The storm is currently moving northeast at 10–15 km/h near 21.3° N and 118.1° E, and it's set to bring heavy rain and strong winds to southern coastal areas like Guangdong, Fujian, and Zhejiang.

From Sunday evening to Monday morning, Danas is expected to cross the Taiwan Straits, potentially brushing past or even making landfall along Taiwan island's western coast. Some regions across Taiwan could experience extreme downpours—up to 230 mm of rain! Meanwhile, strong gales are predicted across the South China Sea and the East China Sea, which means rough waters near Taiwan island and along the mainland coasts.

China’s four-tier, color-coded weather warning system is in full effect with the current yellow alert, signaling the need for extra caution. So whether you're heading out on your daily commute or just catching up on the latest news via your favorite weather app, stay updated and be prepared for sudden changes. Stay safe out there, and remember to check local advisories regularly! 🌧️💨
