Youth Unite for Global Peace at Beijing Conference

In an inspiring gathering at Peking University in Beijing, roughly 3,000 young people from 130 countries and regions joined forces at the World Youth Conference for Peace. This vibrant event also commemorated the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, reminding everyone of the hard-won peace achieved through unity. ✨

Chinese President Xi Jinping sent a heartfelt message urging the youth to learn from the past and build a future founded on peace and global cooperation. His words resonated strongly with participants who believe that solving global challenges requires worldwide collaboration. As Jacobo Garcia from the Global Youth Leadership Forum noted, the positive message highlights that local solutions alone won’t suffice for issues that affect us all.

Leonid Petukhin of the Russian-Chinese Friendship Association stressed that remembering our history is key to creating a better tomorrow. The conference also witnessed the launch of the "World Youth Peace Initiative," a call for young people globally to unite in safeguarding peace, promoting development, and shaping our shared future.

Ly Navuth, an advisor from Cambodia, summed up the event’s spirit by declaring, "Peace starts with people. It starts with us." With themes of togetherness and proactive peace-making at its core, the conference inspired engaging conversations across diverse cultures and regions.

As our fast-paced world faces new challenges, events like this remind us that every voice matters. Let’s continue building bridges and creating positive change together! 🌏✌️
