Over 11 days (Aug 76;17), 34 sports, 60 disciplines and 256 events turned Chengdu into the ultimate playground for adrenaline junkies and culture buffs alike 🌟. China shipped out its biggest squad ever6;489 athletes and coaches6;and topped both the gold and overall medal tables for the first time 🏅💥.
It wasn’t just about medals. A record 6,679 participants (athletes, team staff and technical officials) from 116 countries and regions came together, showcasing global unity through sport 🤝🌏.
Running a mega-event like this is no joke: a 4,600-strong management crew, 1,133 technical officials, 13,000 venue staff and specialist teams maintaining over 20,000 pieces of gear kept everything smooth. Plus, more than 6,000 volunteers powered the action with unstoppable energy 👏.
