  • Research Output: Steady stream of scientific publications from top labs. 🔬
  • VC Deals: Newly added metric tracking venture capital activity. 💸

Zhang Zhicheng, deputy director at China National Intellectual Property Administration, highlighted that the cluster’s been among the top five for years, and now it’s on top. Plus, Hong Kong’s stepping up collaboration with its GBA sister cities to boost tech development and help build the country as an innovation leader, per the HKSAR spokesperson.

Chen Jiachang, vice minister at the Ministry of Science and Technology, adds that Hong Kong’s world-class research institutes, diverse talent pool, and strong IP framework make it a key link in the global innovation chain. The central government is fully backing HKSAR to become an international innovation and tech center. 🌐
