Shenzhou-20 Crew Completes 4th Spacewalk 🚀

Hey space fans, the Shenzhou-20 crew has just aced their fourth extravehicular activity (EVA) – that’s a fancy way to say spacewalk – clocking in around six hours of zero-gravity teamwork 🚀. According to the China Manned Space Agency (CMSA), commander Chen Dong led taikonauts Chen Zhongrui and Wang Jie back outside at 1:35 a.m. Beijing Time, all with a little help from the station’s robotic arm and the ground control crew.

This EVA was a big deal: Chen Zhongrui and Wang Jie teamed up for the first time from China’s third batch of taikonauts. Their to-dos included:

  • Installing debris protection devices to shield the station
  • Inspecting and fine-tuning external equipment and facilities

With four EVAs now under their belt, the Shenzhou-20 trio is one of the most seasoned crews doing spacewalks right now. They’ve been orbiting Earth for over 150 days, running scientific experiments, testing tech, and yes, getting ready to celebrate National Day and the Mid-Autumn Festival above the clouds 🌕🎉. Talk about a next-level holiday!

What’s next? More science, more tests, and more history in the making. Stay tuned for the next chapter of China’s space odyssey 🛰️✨.
