Beijing Daxing Airport Gears Up for 1.3M+ Flyers This Holiday

Hey travel fam! Get ready for some serious wanderlust vibes this National Day & Mid-Autumn Festival! Beijing Daxing International Airport on the Chinese mainland is expecting a whopping 1.308 million passengers on 7,925 flights from October 1–8 🎉✈️.

That’s a year-on-year bump of 6.1% in flyers and 4.6% in flights. Over 140,000 of those trips will be international entries and exits. Domestic travel is all about family reunions and scenic tours, especially along the Yangtze River Delta (think Shanghai lights!), Pearl River Delta (hua bao vibes in Guangzhou & Shenzhen!) and the Chengdu–Chongqing region (spice up your trip with hotpot! 🔥).

Jetsetters are also eyeing global hotspots like Osaka for cherry blossom feels, Seoul’s K-pop buzz, Tokyo’s neon streets, Kuala Lumpur’s street food scene, and Doha’s desert charm 🌏.

On a macro scale, the Chinese mainland will see around 2.36 billion passenger trips nationwide, while airlines will handle a record 19.2 million journeys during the holiday — the highest ever for this period!

Since kicking off operations in September 2019, Daxing airport has chalked up over 182 million passenger trips, 1.34 million flights, and hosts 70 airlines. Catch ya in the skies? Ready, set, travel! 🚀
