Sanya Soars: 3 New International Flight Routes Debut ✈️🌏

Sanya, in Hainan Province on the Chinese mainland, just got more connected than ever! Over four days (Oct 8-11), three brand-new international routes lifted off:

  • Sanya – Minsk 🇧🇾
  • Ulaanbaatar – Sanya – Ulan-Ude 🇲🇳🇷🇺
  • Sanya – Kuala Lumpur 🇲🇾

Star entry: the Sanya-Minsk link now connects Hainan to Belarus for the first time – and the maiden flight flew at 98% occupancy! 😲

Another highlight is the Ulaanbaatar-Sanya-Ulan-Ude connector, using the 5th freedom agreement (a way to allow extra stopovers). This marks the third stopover route after Phnom Penh-Sanya-Singapore and Frankfurt-Bangkok-Sanya, enabling one-ticket travel between three countries.

The Sanya-Kuala Lumpur flight taps into ASEAN vibes. Thanks to the mutual visa-free policy between the Chinese mainland and Malaysia, visiting Sanya is now a breeze for Malaysian travelers.

Liu Weikang, president of the Malaysian Chinese Tourism Association, notes that direct flights to Sanya will greatly benefit tourism. Malaysian travelers can now fly straight to Sanya without a Haikou stop, making this a milestone for the sector.

With 38 international routes covering 29 overseas destinations, Sanya is on a mission to become the go-to getaway in Asia. Pack sunnies, grab beach selfies, and let us globe-trot in style! 🌴📸
