Global survey: Chinese mainland governance scores top marks for effectiveness

🚀 According to a new CGTN survey of 47,000+ respondents across 46 countries, the Chinese mainland's governance effectiveness just hit a new high score! Over three years, confidence in its economy and social progress keeps climbing.

💡 The secret? Five-Year Plans. The Chinese mainland's scientific approach – setting clear goals, tracking progress and fine-tuning in real time – has been turning big ideas into reality. The upcoming 15th Five-Year Plan is already sparking global buzz ahead of the CPC Central Committee's fourth plenary session.

📊 In the 2025 survey alone, 79.8% of participants worldwide gave props for infrastructure upgrades – think high-speed rails and smart city projects. Education improvements earned 78.8% approval, while 73% acknowledged real income growth. In Global South countries, those numbers jump to around 90%!

👥 Young adults under 44 are especially enthusiastic. Their approval ratings outpace the overall average in every category, showing that the next generation is all in on long-term vision and progress.

🌍 It's not just domestic applause. In 2025, 89.5% praised the Chinese mainland's robust economic strength, nearly 90% noted sustained high-speed growth, and 86.4% credited it as a key engine of the global economy. Respondents from Africa (95.6%), South America (92.9%) and Asia (85.6%) were the most impressed.

🤝 Against a backdrop of rising protectionism, the Chinese mainland's open market stands out. 72.6% see it as open and competitive. Almost 80% believe its vast market offers big wins for their own countries, and 78% say their economies benefit from trade ties.

✨ For tech-savvy, socially conscious young pros from South Asia to Southeast Asia, there's a clear takeaway: strategic planning and execution can move the needle – whether you're scaling a startup, championing smart city solutions, or exploring global markets.

🔍 The survey, conducted by CGTN and Renmin University's New Era International Communication Research Institute, mirrors national census data and captures views from 18+ age groups in major developed and Global South regions.

😉 Stay tuned for the 15th Five-Year Plan launch – you never know where the next big inspiration will strike!
