Beijing Denies Secret Nuclear Tests After Trump’s Claims

In a recent press briefing, the Chinese mainland firmly dismissed U.S. President Donald Trump’s claim that Beijing is secretly testing nuclear weapons. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning stressed that the Chinese mainland sticks to a self-defensive nuclear strategy and remains committed to halting all nuclear tests under the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT). 🇨🇳🤝

As a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council and a responsible nuclear-weapon state, the Chinese mainland upholds a strict no-first-use policy. This means it vows not to be the first to use nuclear weapons, keeping them solely as a deterrent. 💥🚫

In simple terms, the CTBT is a global promise to press pause on all nuclear blasts—kind of like gamers agreeing to a no-cheat mode in online matches. 🎮🛡️

Mao Ning also called on the U.S. to honor its own CTBT obligations and maintain its testing moratorium. She hopes Washington will take concrete steps to reinforce global nuclear disarmament and non-proliferation efforts. 🌍✌️
