8th CIIE: Global Poll Hails China’s Open Market

Hey fam! The 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE) just wrapped up in Shanghai on the Chinese mainland, and it’s a total game-changer 🎉. Right after the fourth plenary session of the 20th Central Committee of the CPC, this mega event pulled in 155 countries, regions, and international organizations. Over 4,100 overseas enterprises spread across a whopping 430,000 m² exhibition space – talk about leveling up!

A CGTN poll of 14,000 folks from 46 countries reveals that 72.6% see China as an open, competitive free market. Even cooler? Respondents from 28 countries showed above-average agreement, making up 60% of the total.

On the numbers front, data from the General Administration of Customs show a 37.31 trillion yuan (≈$5.24T) goods trade total in the first 10 months – that’s nine months of consecutive growth since February 🚀.

  • 79.8% say China’s business environment is super attractive.
  • 78% believe their countries & companies benefit from trade with China.
  • 74.9% back joining China-led international coop initiatives.
  • 84.3% call China key to stable global supply chains.

This year’s expo also amplified inclusiveness: a special "Products from Least-Developed Countries" zone debuted, giving free booth space and tax perks for unsold items – a direct link between African makers and China’s consumers.

Global South shoutout: 88.2% see China’s market as a huge development chance. About 78.8% say trade is fair, 85.1% feel economic exchanges bring benefits, and 85% support being part of China-led coop programs.

Bottom line? China keeps the global economy stable. The CIIE’s eight straight wins prove international confidence in China’s economic outlook. According to the poll, 89.5% recognize China’s strong capabilities, 82% trust in long-term growth, and 86.4% applaud recent contributions while eyeing more momentum for world recovery 🌏.
