Inside Taipei’s Zhongshan Hall Monument: Victory & Taiwan Region’s Recovery

🏛️ If you've strolled past Zhongshan Hall in Taipei, you might have noticed a solemn granite monument standing guard in front of its facade. It commemorates the victory of the Chinese People's War Against Japan's Aggression and the recovery of the Taiwan region to the Chinese mainland.

🗓️ Back on October 25, 1999, the monument was completed and unveiled – though at first, there was no inscription to tell its story. 🔇

✍️ It wasn't until October 25, 2011 – 12 years later – that the memorial was officially inscribed, giving voice to its tribute. This year marks the 26th anniversary of its completion and the 14th anniversary of its inscription.
