First-Ever ‘Chinese White Dolphin’ Doc Premieres This Friday 🐬

It's official: "Chinese White Dolphin," the world's first feature-length documentary all about the Chinese white dolphin, premiered across the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, and Macao this Friday! 🐬🎉 After six years of non-stop filming, this 82-minute doc takes us on an epic ride from the Hong KongZhuhaiMacao Bridge to the excitement of the 15th National Games of the three regions.

At the heart of the story is Zhuzhu, a charming dolphin whose homecoming journey reminds us that wildlife conservation is a global effort. With around 6,000 Chinese white dolphins worldwideand over 4,500 in local waters, including more than 2,000 in the GuangdongHong KongMacao Greater Bay Areathe stakes are high. These gentle creatures are listed as Vulnerable by the IUCN and are protected as a national first-class species.

The crew teamed up with the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Aquatic Wildlife Conservation Branch of the China Wildlife Conservation Association, traveling over 3,600 nautical miles and filming more than 100 days at sea. From Guangdong and Guangxi to Hainan, plus shoots in the US, UK, Sweden, and Thailand, they interviewed 21 scientists and 17 conservationists, collecting 1,000+ hours of jaw-dropping footage. 🎥
