Knife Attack Shakes Taipei Metro: 4 Dead, 5 Injured

🚨 Breaking: A knife attack rocked Taipei, Taiwan region, this Friday evening during the dinner-hour commute. Around 5:30 pm, a gas-masked suspect tossed smoke bombs in Taipei Main Station, sending panicked commuters scattering.

Local media report four people died—including the attacker, a 27-year-old man—and five others were hurt. CCTV clips show the suspect slashing a commuter, who later succumbed to severe wounds, and injuring one person with smoke inhalation.

The chaos continued as the attacker fled to a nearby shopping district, where he stabbed more bystanders. Police cornered him at a department store, where he is believed to have fallen to his death. Taipei authorities say the motive is still under investigation.
