Yesterday (Dec 18), the Qingdao Eagles roared past the Nanjing Monkey Kings 99-88 at home in Qingdao’s Shandong Province, extending their 2025-26 CBA season-opening streak to 3-0 🏀🔥

American guard Quinndary Weatherspoon was unstoppable, drilling 16 of 20 shots from the field and sinking 19 of 20 free throws for a season-high 56 points. He hit double figures in each of the first three quarters, helping the Eagles build an 84-66 lead before cruising to an 11-point victory 💪

Weatherspoon became the first player in the CBA this season to crack the 50-point mark, showcasing an offensive masterclass that had fans buzzing from Qingdao to Ho Chi Minh City 🤩

Meanwhile in Beijing, the Xinjiang Flying Tigers edged the Beijing Royal Fighters 105-95 on the road. The Royal Fighters lost All-Star big man Shen Zijie to an early ankle injury, and Xinjiang capitalized, pouring in 66 first-half points to grab a 17-point halftime lead.

Beijing tried to mount a comeback behind Grant Riller’s drives and Zou Yuchen’s outside shooting, but could only trim the gap to eight in the third quarter before the Flying Tigers pulled away 🔥 Both teams are now 2-1 on the season.
